Appauling service. Ordered online, never received my order and have never received any response from customer service team, when I raised an issue. Had to go to Paypal to return my payment. I would suggest, based on my experience, to keep as far away as possible.
I recently bought, online, a Hornstrandir jacket. I found the website really easy to navigate to find the jacket I wished to buy. The information about the recommended sizing was brilliant. The only concern I had was when online it confirmed I had bought the jacket but I didn’t receive an email update. I contacted 66 North by email and received a quick reply to explain they had an issue with their IT system, but were able to provide me a confirmation of my order. A day later I received an email that informed me my order had been dispatched and the relevant delivery number from DHL. It was less than 24 hours for the jacket to be delivered to me (Iceland - UK). The jacket looks great, fits perfectly and after spending a day hiking in miserably wet weather I can confirm it kept me bone dry. I can thoroughly recommend 66 North.
I ordered a jacket from the 66 North website on 13th Jan. got a confirmation email and then nothing. I waited for dispatch notification but by the following Thursday I had heard nothing further. I decided to contact customer services so sent an email asking where my order had got to and when I could expect delivery. I heard nothing back besides an automated reply acknowledging receipt. I had a busy week at work so didn’t chase again until 25th Jan. nearly 2 weeks after ordering the jacket. I told customer services I would give them 5 days to reply before taking the matter up with PayPal and flagging them as fraudulent and starting a charge back. This got a reaction. But not what you would think. Instead of sorting the order and making sure I got my goods sent out maybe with an apology.They decided to immediately cancel my order and initiated a refund. Not what I wanted at all. I emailed back to find out why they took this action and why I had not received my jacket. They proceeded to blame the UK Regent street store for not dispatching the order. I got no response as to why they went straight to refund and cancellation rather than resolution of the problem. I contacted the London store to try to understand what had happened. They told me they are not responsible for e commerce dispatches. They did send out some orders during sales but normally everything is dispatched from either Iceland or Latvia where their main warehouses are located. So in short I have no Jacket, I have to wait for my refund to reach my account and I have no explanation as to why 66 North chose to cancel my order rather than fulfil it and try to make things good with a customer who was spending quite a lot of money with them. I will now not be spending a penny with this company.
Excellent quality polartec fleece, did also deal with Customer Service and the lady I dealt with was lovely and efficient. 5 star product for me, 5 star service as well.
I bought a new version Tindur jacket for my teenager. The staff were very helpful and they had all the sizes I needed my son to try on. The quality is amazing, not many brands make a gortex(water resistent)& down (warmth at 800) of this quality. It seems much better than CG ones we tried and a whole different level than NF. People keep mentioning where its made. I dont care if its made in Timbuctoo the quality, design and warmth are all amazing. Also if you know Icelandic people, you can be almost 100% sure that whichever factory is making it, they will ensure its produced ethically...Good Job!!

Customer service was quick to reply regarding my return of the jacket i didn’t keep. Previous reviews are the complete opposite of my experience. My EU made Vatnajökull shell jacket arrived just TWO days after I ordered it to Ireland. And we're all still in lockdown. It fits well, perfect weight for this climate, high quality zippers and other materials, strong stitching. Easy ordering experience on their website. I discovered them because an Icelandic drone operator was wearing their cap in a media interview.
