What is Backcountry Cash Back?
Though Backcountry already offers highly discounted products, it’s always good to have additional cost-saving opportunities, right? That’s what you can get with Backcountry cashback – a system of returning a certain percentage from your purchases at Backcountry to your wallet. Yes, that’s real money – not some Backcountry cashback bonus that you can only spend for subsequent purchases in this store, but hard cash that you can use for any other purposes.
How does Backcountry Cashback Works?
Backcountry cashback: sounds simple enough, but how simple is it? The definition of cashback states that it’s literally a cash rebate, but where does this money come from? It comes from promotional deals between third-party sites and Backcountry. These promos are paid in the form of cash to the cashback site and then transferred to you. These cashback sites feature clickable links that direct traffic to the main Backcountry website, which in turn rewards the site. Want more Backcountry cashback deals? We'll explain some Backcountry rebate deals and offers next.
On top of cashback, you're also eligible for some Backcountry cashback bonus offers. This can come from purchasing with Backcountry cashback credit cards, which offer cashback when using them to make purchases. There are rebate Backcountry offers that you can redeem to receive extra cash and extra promos and bonuses as well.
To put it in the simplest way, by using a third-party site for Backcountry shopping, you collect a percentage of your cash back. We got the best Backcountry cashback sites coming up next.
How to get Cashback from Backcountry?
Just like the Backcountry promise, it's easy! We've broken the process down into four simple steps:
- Choose a cashback site and sign up for free
- Look for the Backcountry portal and start shopping
- Check out
- Sit back and relax while your cash comes to you
How to use Backcountry Cashback?
Using the cashback Backcountry rewarded to you is also very easy. There is one thing, though – it needs time to be processed and cashed out. First of all, it's good to check that your preferred method of withdrawal is offered at the cashback site you choose. All those that we provided offer all major payment methods.
After this is done, your purchase will need to be approved by Backcountry, which can take between 10 and 30 days. After approval, the cash is transferred to the cashback site you used and then sent to you within 24-48 hours. Most of the time, it is required to have a minimum amount before you can withdraw your earnings.
With so many ways to earn extra cash and bonuses just from shopping at your favorite stores, shopping gets much more attractive. Have fun shopping around and enjoy the rebates flooding back to your account!
Backcountry Cash Back Calculator
The cashback calculator is available in some cashback services (for example, SecretDiscounter) on the page of each store and allows you to quickly calculate the amount of cash back that will be returned after a purchase. However, to calculate the cashback, the calculator uses the maximum store rate, and if the store has several rates for different categories of goods, the calculator takes into account the largest one.

I’ve purchased multiple items from Backcountry. Always outstanding service. Recent experience with assurance by Kiara was no exception. Kiara provided outstanding customer service.

Have made countless purchases for our mountaineering / Alpine adventures. Deliveries were mostly smooth and customer service would ensure your items have reached. Items came in good condition. Recommended

I spoke with Enrique Canale from customer service about my order and had the best online company customer service experience. He was so efficient with my time and offered a solution without my prompting. I will be ordering from backcountry again because of Enrique!

I had a very positive shopping experience using Ozbackcountry.com.au to recently purchase my Orca Thermal wetsuit. John Mac was extremely helpful in letting me know full shipping details as soon as the wetsuit left their warehouse. As for the Orca Thermal, it is the finest wetsuit I have so far ever used.

I have always had a great experience with them. Shipping might take longer but at least these items are at a discounted rate when its on sale!

My son received the Nikes I ordered for him in 4 business days. They were 25% less than same shoes on most other sites. Fortunately, there will be no need for exchanges/returns/refunds because he knew his size in Nike. The first of two glitches in the transaction was being bumped from the site as I ordered—I continued the order by telephone. In addition, the first email I received about tracking stated the wrong price and wrong shipping method. I phoned again, got the correct email tracking message sent to me, and used it to follow the order seamlessly from there onward. If your order is simple, it may be worth the discount Backcountry offers to buy from them.

I have had the best experience with backcountry.com today. Jessica O. helped me out. I made a mistake ordering first of all. I had to back out an order that had already shipped. Did they by email and they immediately went to work on it. Then I called back because the gear I needed still needed to be ordered and I didn’t want to make the same mistake twice. Jessica listened patiently to my story and proceeded to help me research the details and give recommendations. I settled on an item and she processed the order efficiently. I hate ordering gear from my smart phone, but with help I think this order will go okay. Thank you, Jessica, for your help and attention. New favorite outdoor retailer.

***Update**** The warranty department ended up helping me out and replacing the snowboard. I can't update the review to 5 stars due to the way the original customer service rep treated the situation. Terrible customer service. I ordered a $1,000 snowboard and the top sheet began to come apart from the base. I sent pictures of what was happening as well as the underside of the board to show that the board had not been abused (it still looked new on the bottom). My customer service rep Ally V was less than helpful (I'm also a summer tier member which is supposed to help with returns etc), she stated to the way it had been used there was nothing they could do. I had used it with my 8 year daughter on the bunny slopes teaching her how to snowboard. This was also within their return period of 30 days from delivery of the product. My wife and I spend a lot of money at backcountry and on outdoor gear. We also refer a ton of people to backcountry because of how involved we are in the outdoor community in Colorado. We will be sending everyone to REI from here on out. Absolutely terrible customer service. They will not stand by the gear they sell. Stay far way from this company.

Delivered what and as expected. No complaints. First off.. they got 3 stars because their service is like others (makes them average - or 3). Now, they get one more star for actually not spamming afterward.

Disappointed with product and service at Backcountry.com: After ordering a product (tent) over the winter, I was finally able to try it out this summer when the weather was nice. The tent was very poorly manufactured, so I reached out for a return and explained to the rep that I had set it up once in good weather. They authorized an RMA, which I dutifully sent back. Two weeks later, I’d heard nothing, and reached out via chat to learn that the “gearheads” had rejected my return as “used.” An outdoors company should stand behind its gear. Trying out a tent involves opening the package and, you know, setting it up outside? Add in the fact that I was not told it was rejected until I messaged two weeks later! Edited to add: Members of the backcountry team reached out to me and helped me resolve my situation promptly and refunded my purchase. In short, I will continue to purchase from Backcountry, but only things I am extremely unlikely to return.
