I ordered from them for the first time. I ended up not liking how the Takara legging looked in me so I returned. The return was easy and fast. I returned my order to a Fedex location and within an hour I got my money returned to my bank card. I recommend them easy returns. Great company! Dane believe other people who say returns are hard.

I was a first time customer at Carbon38 and could not be more disappointed in the customer experience. I purchased a pair of Heroine leggings, also a first with a new brand. I received the leggings and the brand runs very small compared to other legging brands (Alo, Lulu, Spiritual Gangster), by 2-4" in hip width, an requested an exchange for a size larger, which Carbon38 had in stock. Prior to purchase I phoned Carbon38 to no avail and therefore referenced the sizing guide provided by Carbon38, a significant issue as the item was Final Sale. Upon receipt I was finally able to contact Carbon38 via email where they stated the item was Final Sale, no exchanges, no exceptions. Despite pointing out the issue of sizing and determining the correct size the response was "no". I understand Final Sale however other retailers would take responsibility and accountability if full information was not disclosed about sizing. I requested an exchange, not a return, which I consider a fair agreement, particularly where customers are an integral part of your business success. Update: Carbon38 responded to my post within 30 minutes offering a refund for the item including complimentary return shipping. I am pleased with the response and for Carbon38 listening to customer feedback. Changed rating from one star to 4 stars. Update September 22, 2020: A full refund was issued by Carbon38.

Placed an order on 11th Jul, it is now 5 days later and I haven't heard from carbon38 since receiving their confirmation email. I am located in SE Asia and even for an international delivery - for which I was charged USD30! - this seems like a very long lag time. I am especially worried since the charge has been deducted from my card, but their customer service has been non-responsive to my multiple queries. Disappointing and worrying. Not the customer experience I expected given the store's price point. Edit: Customer support made the effort to get in touch with me following my review. Parcel was slow but given the current situation this wasn't unexpected. Revising my review accordingly, though I wish I didn't have to air negative views about the company in order to compel them to respond to my queries.

I’ve been a loyal and long time customer, and can’t figure out what in the world is going on with Carbon38 lately. Starting two days ago, I can not login to my account. The error states: NO SUCH ENTITY WITH ADDRESSID = followed by a string of numbers. If I call them, the messages says “we are busy call back”. If I email, no response. I am trying to generate a return label, which I was able to request without logging in to my account but the label never arrived. It seems people are getting responses here on this website. Carbon38....can you please send me my return label to my email address? Update: Carbon38 reps sent me the return label immediately after posting this review. They are having technical website difficulties, so on my end all is good now. I wish they had responded to my emails to their customer service but it seems they at least are taking care of getting back to customers even if it’s through this website.

Update: leaving the below for reference, but wanted to update this review. Within a half hour of reviewing, a new customer service agent reached out to me, and couldn’t have been nicer about the issues. Guess every company has its bad representatives—very happy I got a good one the second time around (thanks Laura!). Will order from them again, maybe just not their Carbon38 label. Good customer service makes a world of difference. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I wanted to love this company, and for my first purchase bought a final sale Carbon38 brand legging/top. I knew I liked the style, I know my size, and I figured at their price point the quality had to be good, right? WRONG. Items arrived, and we’re the worst quality fabric I’ve bought activewear in. I work in fashion design—at that price point there’s no excuse for horrible feeling fabrications. Reached out to customer service about it & wanted to see if it was possible to get store credit because the material was either heinously awful, or defective. I knew store credit might not happen, but figured I’d at least get an apology for the bad quality. Wrong again!!! Instead I got a clearly copied and pasted response about final sale items being final sale. If they had responded allowing me store credit for defective quality, they would’ve had a lifelong customer/fan. If they had apologized, I may have ordered other brands from them (their curation is great). As it is, they’ve lost any chance of me ever reordering or recommending them. Shame.

Edit: I love my Takara leggings. They are so cute and I get so many compliments. I had an issue with my leggings after 3 months of light wear that was promptly resolved as soon as I posted my review. I did reach out to the customer service team directly who initially told me they couldn't help. I am going to assume this was a one-off situation and I appreciate Carbon38's prompt response to my problem.

I really like the Crocodile style and look, and the leggings fit as perfectly as all the other Takara leggings I have, and they do have a nice faux Crocodile look to them, but the pattern on the leggings is more of a print on the material, and not really embossed at all, so it doesn't have a Crocodile texture, it's smooth, and I was hoping there was some Crocodile texture to the material, but they still look great, just not the depth of texture or pattern I had wanted.

I really want to support this website and continue purchasing, but after my last purchase, I can not. Purchased an expensive Alo jacket that arrived with a zipper that would not close. Called customer service because I wasn’t sure what to do since the item had sold out. I basically just wanted the jacket exchanged. Instead of instructing me on how to exchange the item, they insisted I send multiple pictures to prove my story. I ended up just taking the jacket to a seamstress and paid the $40 to have it fixed. I emailed customer service to give them the update and never received a reply. I could have just purchased this jacket through Nordstrom or Alo and had it handled correctly. Next time, I will!! Quick update: Received an email from customer service and situation was quickly rectified. Thank you Carbon 38 for following through.
