So I am a trainer in California, and was using Thumbtack before, but I felt like every time I got fake leads that could have been from Thumbtack company so that those who look for clients still have to pay for the leads and I didn’t feel like I was paying for anything that’s worth my time. Then I signed up for Find Your Trainer, and this site is something that you can trust although there is no guarantee that you are getting promised clients unless you have a good profile and good rates if you are just starting up, and of course people seek for great trainers with great rates right? But you won’t pay unless you get a client via Find Your Trainer and you can always change your rates, options, travel areas, etc as you wish if you feel like you need to lower/higher your rates to target the right kinds of clients. Thumbtack or other sites might be hit or miss, and some people might have positive experiences with them, but honestly I don’t trust those that ask us to pay upfront and not get any promised leads from real people. If you think through and do your math, you know there is shady about some of the apps like Thumbtack and other personal trainer apps. I recommend Find Your Trainer for any trainers out there if they are looking to advertise their businesses and find more clients. I see many great trainer profiles on Find Your Trainers besides my profile (:) and I know depending on the areas, it could get very competitive, but it is our/trainers jobs to be creative and smart about selling what we do :) Hope this review for Find Your Trainer helps other hard working trainers out there.
I was very pleased with my initial session with my trainer and wanted to book multiple sessions with her and purchased an 8 session package. However, I have been unable to book the same day and time with her for future sessions. Having to use the resources on her page make that extremely difficult. In speaking with her it seems that the company tells her when she has clients who want regular sessions, so I will have to try that route. It wasn't clear that I would have to deal with the company's concierge instead of the trainer.

She will motivate you during every session and always corrects your form. Alexandra also has a fun personality- the hour goes by fast!
Maurice is a true expert in his field. He changes up my sessions every week which keeps me motivated and intersted. He also draws from a range of disciplines from boxing to yoga that has increased my coordination, flexibility and confidence when undertaking my own activities like golf, cycling and landscaping. Would highly recommend him.
Rob's educational, challenging and fun. I had never had a personal trainer before and was redicent to start, but ended up signing up for more sessions after my first five. Rob's got me to a place where I feel less intimidated, more knowledgeable and able to replicate what we've done on my own.
Company has been terrific. The questionnaire was relevant and not too burdensome. The trainer they sent me was totally suitable, expert and nice. Their scheduling system works very well. The price is reasonable. And their emails aren't particularly annoying. I'm very pleased.
I still despise the automatic renewal if four sessions at once. Its ridiculous and forces me to purchase more sessions at a time than I may want to. Please stop the automatic recharging!!!!!
