Overall I rarely give 5 star reviews, but this is a 4.35 star review of LA Fitness. I purchased a VIP membership with Vic Tanny Health Clubs 30 years ago who was bought out by Bally Fitness who was bought out by LA Fitness. As a corporate chain with a lot of locations in North America I can usually find a gym near me. Layouts vary but amenities and equipment are fairly consistent. 4.35 rating an average of below: 1-equipment=4.5 2-cleanliness of clubs=4 3-# of locations=4 4-helpful/friendliness of staff=4 5-quality of facilities=5 6-availability or facilities=5 7-price/value=4
This is one of few gyms in LA thats got a hot sauna. Killer value. Enough said.

It's a good fitness studio. Sales team is bad, but that's to be expected. Is like it is. For what it's worth it's a top fitness studio 5/5.
I have been a member for over 30 years.I enjoy the club though in the new one we have, they eliminated the sauna, which was a great benefit to me. i am sorry to see that go, but the equipment is all newer and excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, but do not provide advice unless you get a private session.I feel badly for new members who have no clue what to do other than trad mills or bikes. I will continue as a member as long as it stays affordable for me.
