lomi – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Left a review in the beginning of March... Lomi was working for my situation. Now its broken. Now I understand why every other review says same...

We use ours everyday at least once and we love it. We live in a multi resident building and taking out the compost has always been a messy pain. We scan fit at least 4 bags of wet stinky veggie/fruit/compost into one simple bag of dirt. The fertilizer is really powerful so we almost killed some of our indoor plants. The support is FANTASTIC! We had a fan issue, they sent us a replacement which worked fine for four months and then it happened again and they sent a new unit right away. No problems since. We love, love our Lomi. We recommend it highly.

Our Lomi arrived in August 2022 and we were very committed to using it to create compost, as advertised, for a community garden plot. After a few months it was clear that the output was not useful, then it became even less useful: we were ending up with sludge. We tried to get advice from customer service on how to adjust our inputs but even following the advice to run a load several times we still had sludge. Since February we have been trying to get a further response from the company and eventually requested a refund. No response. It is possible that we simply have a defective unit but we may never know due to the lack of response and therefore absolutely cannot recommend this product.

I bought the Lomi second hand -- so there is that -- I paid about half of what it sells for new, so I have less cause for disappointment. Like many people I thought that the Lomi would actually produce compost, which is does not. It dries and shreds your scraps only. So if you do place in planting boxes/beds, you'll just get mold once you water them. If you compost a lot, you're going to have a lot of ground-up scraps that are ready to be composted, and you need to be able to put them somewhere! I am leaving 4 stars because I do think there is a niche market that Lomi can be helpful for -- and that is apartment dwellers in cold-climate dense cities who are seriously about composting (and willing to do the extra work to take care of the pre-compost that Lomi creates). I compost for a whole office floor in NYC, and though I have limited space for tumblers, they slow down in winter. So I found that Lomi has helped me reduce the size of my pre-compost so that I can do it year-round. I've also been using it nonstop, and it hasn't been giving me any issues. For anyone with a little outdoor space, however (and less compost load), I recommend getting into actual composting -- as its much more rewarding. What is sad about the Lomi is that its marketing is misleading, and that means the company is spending precious resources to manufacturer and ship a product that will ultimately be thrown into landfills. You certain can't compost your Lomi....

Sadly echoing all the other negative experiences here. My Lomi worked well (albeit noisy!) for the first 3 x months, and then ceased to make any "dirt" at all. My food was just a bit dry, but still fully formed after multiple cycles. I reached out to customer service in November 2022 and it took until February 2023 for them to actually do anything. They sent me a new bin, claiming this was the problem. I've tried it, nothing changed, it's still broken. Since then, I've been reaching out to them over email and phone calls (where all they do is say they'll talk to their manager) but still no response, and the Lomi is still a waste of space (and money!). To anyone reading this who doesn't have outdoor/garden access but wants to do their part to compost, try Mill (full unlimited warranty). I've told Lomi if I don't hear back from them soon with a solution, this is what I'll be doing. It's a shame as the premise of this company is so great, but sadly it's not real. Save your money.

Works great until it breaks I have had my Lomi for a couple months now. It broke on 2/9/23 and despite being under warranty, I am getting the run around from customer service. They will say they are going to fix it and then nothing happens. After being ghosted multiple times in email communications, I have had it with this company. Do not buy this product. It will break and company will not help you. Waste of money.

The composter broke after a few months, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone to talk to at customer service on how/whether it might be fixed. I've tried for 2 days now, via email, 'chat' (with a bot, though they advertise it as a chat with a person) and phone. After 20 minutes on the phone, I get a message that says, "no support agents are available to take your call...please call back later." I've done that 3 times now. No one will respond to my query about the broken machine they sent me. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

My Lomi stop working after 3 months, I contacted their customer service, what a joke. After reading the other reviews I now understand I’m not the only person robbed. I’m currently traveling in Asia, when I get back to North America I’m going to take the strongest action against this company.

This is by far the worst company I have bought anything from. All the reviews are right. I was very disappointed by the level of communication and tranparency of the whole process. The customer service agents have repeateadly given me very vague answers regarding my delivery date (soon, shortly etc), although the payment had been already made. Moreover, they had generated a shipping label which was not working, claiming the package had been sent when the courier (RoaylMail) said they hadn't received it. While I understand there were issues with the shipping, the lack of transparency and communication is disappointing. After I have received the order,I decided to return it because it is too big, uses too much energy and is too noisy to be used up to 8 hours a day in a living space. When I contacted customer support for a return, I was first incorrectly sent to the US site then I had to ping the ticket twice to get another link that is again not working (this while being constantly reminded how there is a 30 day return window). This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced, especially for a premium product worth 600 dollars.

Purchased in the UK. Please please dont these reviews are all terrible for a reason. Tried to cancel the order over a month before received with no response. As soon as arrived tried to return, sent a portal that does not work and cant return I am 10 messages down and no response ....... I am writing to consumer watchdogs etc as this is not right!
