Hi, I'm not much a of a " review writing person". I save my reviews for really good, or really bad experiences. In this case, i have a really good review. I printed 9 books with Lulu so far. I am so pleased with quality, customer service, shipping and unbeatable prices. I was looking for a place to print great quality, full color, books. I turned my family blog into a book series, in both hard and softcover. For a book of about 200 pages, it was about $40.00 and available to ship worldwide, which was so important for me as i am living in Israel. I was super impressed with the print quality. And i was picky about it because i have many professional quality full page photos in my books. Also when i had some trouble shooting regarding page sizes they got back to me super quick. Also I had two books in hardcover where pages began coming out, and they immediately shipped a replacement order free of charge! Just FYI most of the hardcover books were fine, but in general the softcover seems to actually hold up better. I know a lot of people complain about customer service, so perhaps they have taken that to heart and improved, because i have had very quick answers to any problems i had. Thank you Lulu, you have helped a dream come true for me. These books will be treasured for many generations i am sure.!

Self-published a book for private consumption. I found their site was very easy to use. No problems at all. Ordered multiple copies of case-printed hardcovers several times. I thought the cover printing and inside content presentation were superb. Black and white pictures came out fine. Upload full-sized (not compressed) PDF files. Make sure you carefully download and review the print-ready files that Lulu provides to you. Allow about three weeks for delivery from submittal. They seem to ship from Connecticut. Their shipping packaging protects the books well. Put about three extra blank pages at the front of your book; this will help with the durability. Honestly, this Print On Demand stuff is just magic. I don't work for Lulu or anyone else!
I had been looking for a self publishing resource to download hard copies of different projects I'd written up. Their how to guides are excellent and when I started I just uploaded a PDF and ended up printing basic A4 sized books using their built in cover maker. But as I got more comfortable using the website I learnt how to edit the size of my PDFs so I could make small tradeback size copies of my writing. Then I played around with hard cover and soft cover and using Canva to make professional books covers. Whole the books are still just for me, they now look professional and look great on the shelf in my study. When I first started out writing one of the two places, I signed up for was both Lulu and Amazon but at that time it was CreateSpace, although later when I was ready to start to create my eBooks, they were there for me, and I have to say every time I had an issue, they were quick to respond.
