I use their 3D printer and expertise to teach middle and high school students. Their customer service and reliability is excellent. For this reason I highly recommend the company. Thank you.
The installation of the printers and software was bizarre. Part of it was on paper, part on line and part from my cellphone. The software download was backward (i.e. the "Apple OS" software was for Windows and vice versa. Tech support was helpful, but the hours were bizarre 6:00 am to 3:00 PM Pacific time, but their offices are IN the Pacific Time Zone.
I didn’t think that there were companies that existed like this anymore when you call a person answers and gives you immediate attention and is well-qualified to you solve your issues.

Purchase was easy. Delivery was punctual and easy to track. Out of the box use - very impressive. I purchased for my grandson ( 19 years old with no previous knowledge of the product) based on my working knowledge of Makerbot units purchased at Siemens prior to 2010. Forced him to read SOME instructions, but in reality - could start with no instruction. First models looked great.
Very good customer service. My only complaint is the service plan is too costly. As the individual responsible for the operation of several MakerBots and other forms of technology, I prefer service plans for the equipment in my shops. The expense for the MakerBot service plan, particularly in the second and third year when it is needed most, is difficult to justify with a limited budget.
I am very technical, and initially it didn't make sense what the support person was saying the likely problem was. But she was patient with me and very nicely asked me to follow her recommendations. After doing so, I was very impressed and surprised she was right all long. The problem was the extruder. Thank you for the A+++ support.
