Yeah I wouldn’t shop here if anything goes wrong with the item you purchased you are just left out to dry No after sales support, they just don’t back the brands they stock Really crap business plan they have Best you shop elsewhere where they back the products they sell as for Bell helmets not fit for purpose! Expensive for what they are and disposable

Absolutely no help when an item needs to be returned Best avoid this company if you don’t want waste money

I can't believe this!!! I ordered a bicycle saddle and it was defective email after email after email and being hand balled from one agent to another all I wanted to do was return the saddle for a refund it was unmarked but now they want me to send it back to the manufacturer Do not deal with these people. Buy from somebody like Bikebug or Pushys like most online stores they have a dedicated return setup where as Mountain Bike Direct do not it's just email after email after email to no avail

New website is absolutely shocking - so bad. I can't believe they have butchered it like this. Extremely disappointing and I will only shop at Pushys now on principal.

Ordered a Beto digital tyre pressure gauge among other things. It was total rubbish, which gave me a chance to test MTB Direct's customer support. Received a prompt and detailed response from Ian who explained that replacement products were in very short supply due to new safety rules on button cells. I was offered store credit or a refund on the gauge. This is the second gauge I purchased, the first was bought last year also from MTB Direct and it failed after a few uses as well. I got refunds for both items. So apart from some inconvenience which wasn't the fault of MTB Direct, I have had fantastic shopping experiences with fast delivery even to regional Victoria. Prices are pretty competitive for an Aussie online retailer. Now that I've experienced their customer support, I'm even less inclined to shop elsewhere.

I've ordered a few things in the past from MTB Direct, always quick delivery, good price, and hassle free. Recently the socks I ordered were the wrong colour from what I ordered: an email and quick response and I had store credit plus keeping the original colour socks. Easy as!

Almost every time I buy stuff from mtb direct, I end up having to return it. Their size charts are inaccurate. Return postage is expensive and inconvenient. Inevitably the new size is unavailable or more costly. Not to mention the wasted time. From now on I'm buying local.

I cannot recommend the NZ version of this website. I have placed three orders with MTB direct NZ recently and 2 were either the incorrect product, or the incorrect number of items ordered. There was no packing slip with the consignment in either case - it seems to me perhaps the systems for dispatch need assessing. The response from MTB direct staff in both cases was very good - still I am very dissatisfied with the site and will not use again.

I ordered a helmet. After a week I had received no notification of dispatch, so I tried to contact them. For 3 days, by email, via their website and by FB messenger. They don't have a phone number and they work to Australian business hours. Finally a (seemingly) helpful guy said " So sorry we lost your order here's a $15 credit and your tracking number. Wrong tracking number and another week later still no helmet. (Plus you get spammed by their emotionally needy chat bot asking you to review every interaction with them) Do yourself a favour spend your money with an actually kiwi bike shop

Another local winner if you're looking for bike parts in Australia. Pricing is competitive and customer service is great. Even if you're just inquiring about parts, the staff all ride (& really know their s#!t), so when the online chat/help pops up, you know you're going to get steered in the right direction. So yeah, it's run by riders... some might even say it's For the riders. 10/10
