I was able to purchase well made shoes that actually have the deep heel cup and high toe box needed to support custom orthotics, plus the design of the shoes all support the biomechanics of walking: IE Proper alignment of arch, ankle, knee, hip, back.

Since buying my first pair of Orthofeet shoes and having a good experience reducing my Neuropathy pain and giving more room for my hammer toes, I now have several pairs from Orthofeet; tennis, casual, and 3 different work style shoes. All the Orthofeet shoes have been very durable as well. I tend to be pretty hard on shoes in general!

I have SEVERE neuropathy in my feet. I'm taking high doses of medication for it. I've had nerve conduction tests done. I stand on gel mats all the time at the house. I don't walk very much anymore because of the pain it causes me. The only shoes that seem to give me some comfort are the Charlotte slippers from Orthofeet. I wear them constantly. I cannot recommend them enough.

This company provides shoes with a great combination of comfort and appearance (not too ortho-looking), something that has eluded me for years. Their insoles and fit 'system' are outstanding and very adaptable -- I've ordered them for some of my other shoes. My only complaint -and it's an important one- is that the live chat and customer service live responses about fit/product are not very good, compared with other such services with other products. So far, my experience has been that they just repeat what is said online, and often give responses that are simply not relevant to what was asked. So this leads to ordering, returning, exchanging and so on more frequently than might be necessary if their folks knew more about their own product -- you know, like the Ace Hardware folks.

After people sued Sketchers and their rocker sneakers were taken off the market, I was forced to find some shoe that would not press on a metatarsal issue I have. Orthofeet sneakers have been AMAZING. I walk 5-7 miles a day and I have comfortable shoes and no pain. I went up a 1/2 size and wider width and my feet don’t slide or rub. I also love love love the diabetic socks even though I’m not a diabetic. They are super comfortable and padded but non constricted. I just bought and tried the low cut socks now that summer is coming and they are very comfortable as well. I do wish they had a bit of cushioning, but I appreciate that they are not constrictive like most socks. I have 6 prs of sneakers so I can constantly rotate them and let them breathe. I also have 1 or if the slippers. Just for comparison for people. I’m petite, under 5 ft, under 80 lbs, but approximately 60 yrs of age. I hope this helps you decide to try this company.
