As an organisation, Parentskills2go appreciates the fact that Scribeasy share in the ethos of encouraging parents and children to engage together in the session. They are able to adapt the sessions to meet the needs of the families and get the best outcomes For example, Two families with SEND in particular are benefitting, and actively seek it out, engaging with it more than the craft, and also collaborating on stories together.

ECYPS has been using Scribeasy as part of delivering ‘Mind Kind’ events in local schools to promote children’s well-being. An excellent and unique platform using visual images to write fantastic stories. Various writing packs available, range of tools, easy to use and accessible. We are also using the platform in our afterschool club encouraging imagination and allowing children to express themselves. Children can set times and earn skills badges which encourages children to have fun whilst writing.

Creative multifunctional innovation As a small charity, we have used Scribeasy for young people with English as a second language, learning disabled young people and young peole needing extra support with literacy. In addition, we have used it extensively with children and young people with mental well being support issues, linking it into our mindfulness programmes. Without exception, children, parents/carers and professionals have found this to be a stimulating, creative and accessible programme for all ages. It not only supports thise who would like to improve their literacy skills, but also supports the mental well being for those young people for whom talking therapies may not be appropriate. Above all, it is fun and creative and does not feel like a traditional ‘learning’ tool. Can’t recommend it highly enough - should be a part of every learning and creative environment.

My 8 year old daughter who was a reluctant writer loves writing stories on Scribeasy. The picture prompts and thesaurus help her with some quality writing. The feedback and annotation from Amanda is super helpful and the online platform saves all her work meaning she is able to go back and edit her work.
