That’s what you can get with The Information cashback – a system of returning a certain percentage from your purchases at The Information to your wallet. Yes, that’s real money – not some The Information cashback bonus that you can only spend for subsequent purchases in this store, but hard cash that you can use for any other purposes.

How does The Information Cashback Works?

The Information cashback: sounds simple enough, but how simple is it? The definition of cashback states that it’s literally a cash rebate, but where does this money come from? It comes from promotional deals between third-party sites and The Information. These promos are paid in the form of cash to the cashback site and then transferred to you. These cashback sites feature clickable links that direct traffic to the main The Information website, which in turn rewards the site. Want more The Information cashback deals? The Information Cash Back Calculator

The cashback calculator is available in some cashback services (for example, SecretDiscounter) on the page of each store and allows you to quickly calculate the amount of cash back that will be returned after a purchase. However, to calculate the cashback, the calculator uses the maximum store rate, and if the store has several rates for different categories of goods, the calculator takes into account the largest one.

This isn't a "news" site, it's just a scam

Pretty much echoing what every other person said on here - they sign you up for 12 months, don't give you the option to turn off auto-renew, no email reminder to tell you an automatic renewal you didn't agree to is coming up, and then refuse to refund your yearly scam price of $400 on day 1 because that's their "policy". If anyone else is in my shoes, file a complaint with your credit card company and if your credit card company doesn't agree with you, report your card to the consumer financial protection bureau - they'll give you your money back pretty quickly

$400 auto renew, without any notice..Beware

they will auto renew the subscription and will charge you $400, so be mindful before subscribing. Their policy "we don't do refunds" , super vague in this day and age. Their articles lack depth. They merely cover any details that can provide any sort of insights. You are better off reading hacker news and TechCrunch or any other reputed tech news site.

Be careful of no-notice renewal.

I stopped reading TI shortly after signing up because I didn’t think it provided much insight beyond what you get in the popular press. I forgot it was there and they renewed my subscription for $399 without notice. Their website said they would give notice before renewal. Anyway, they said they wouldn’t honor my cancelation. It’s bad business ethics, but what are you going to do? I tried to read it again since I paid for it, but there still really isn’t much to it.

Designed to rip you off

Do not subscribe. This is a ripoff by design. They autorenew automatically, don't allow you to turn off autorenew, don't send a notice prior to autorenewal, make it almost impossible to unsubscribe, and refuse to offer any refunds under any circumstances. This is intentional, predatory, and the worst sort of business practice. Avoid like the plague.

Misrepresents the price as $399 only to…

Misrepresents the price as $399 only to show $299 once you download their app. Refuses to refund the difference left a bad taste. Their cancellation link buried several pages deep and in the bottom of the page.

I wanted to get access for a month but they charged me for 12 months.. I reahed then within 1 minute but they refuse to refund me the 11 months I did not agree to pay.. really outrageous...

This is a shady business

This is a shady business. They sneakily charge you for an annual subscription, sneakily auto-renew you, and conveniently don't offer any refunds. I reached out within 20 minutes of being auto-renewed, and we got nothing. I don't care what their fine print says, everything they did was designed to take advantage of their customers and borderline steal our money. I rarely leave reviews for anything, but man.... this company is terrible.

Their subscription page claimed…

Their subscription sign up page claimed a monthly fee, which, I naively took to mean a monthly subscription. But oh no, I wasn’t charged $33, I was charged $400. Well shame on me for being a sucker. Writing this so hopefully others won’t.

auto-renew + no refund: unacceptable

The content is good if you care about what they cover. I lost interest and stopped reading. They silently auto-renewed an annual subscription and refused to refund when I cancelled. Refer to your policies all you want- this is horrible customer service. I am disputing the charge. Steer clear unless you like dry discussions of silicon valley things and being cheated out of $200.

Joshua Hager
Horrible service.

Horrible service. There's no way to cancel your service, they do not send a reminder. They could careless if you lost your job in COVID. Dispute your charge because this company is fraudlent.
