VitalSource – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Purchased a book through my campus bookstore, was given a code to this website and they gave me a lab/textbook THAT EXPIRED A MONTH INTO MY COURSE and now I'm panicking because I can't afford to repurchase the materials. IF YOU ARE A PROFESSOR, DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! USE SOMETHING THAT DIRECTLY LINKS TO THE COURSE MATERIAL!

Forced to use this inferior platform for reading textbooks. Different functions and way to interact with the basic user interface per book, cannot move pages using basic arrow keys on a keyboard, only some of the books offer "continuous scroll," and if you place in full screen then you have no way of moving from page to page without leaving full screen. I would bet this is the cheapest on the market for EReading, and it shows.

Stay Away. They RENT you the material. You never own it. I need it now and they want me to pay for it again! They don't warn you! Imagine. Every time I need the book I have to BUY IT AGAIN! God Bless America!

Just auditing a class on music. Vital scource is adament about create account, over and over with thier create an acount, COOKIES MUST BE ACCEPTED> Data mining city

Very disappointing. 1> On their web site, they have the image of the book, but they do NOT tell you that you don't get a hard copy. 2> very hard to get into their site for access; 3> no response from their support department.

Just bought a book from them and I have no way of accessing it. $43 to only be able to see the cover of the book. They are a scam company.

I don’t like it for all the reasons stated. I thought I would get used to it. Today I attempted to purchase a textbook. The transaction indicated it was unable to process due to an address problem…except it took two payments. No text book provided. The CSR couldn’t tell me how the problems would be fixed but told me calls can’t be transferred to someone who knows and problems can’t be rectified without an escalation and a call back to me. That’s a good enough reason for me to go back to traditional hard copy since the system itself is faulty as people have already indicated. Both payments have been returned to me as of Oct 27. Our system shows 3 attempted transaction(s) on Oct 26, 2022, for a Visa ending in The attempted charge(s) in the amount of $76.95 AUD, did not go through at our end. constant freezing and trouble loading. can barely use. absolute horrible waste of money. Need these books for school. Offered through my university but just a gross waste of money. Constant error messages saying the page is unresponsive just when trying to read through the chapter. terrible terrible terrible. It's been 2 years. I've reported so many times and they keep saying they are working on it. Refuse to give money back.

Total scam, they say the ebooks are epub, but there's no option to download - the only option is to read through their website or one of their app. If I knew that beforehand I wouldn't buy.

I would give a negative star. Total scam. I paid $40.00 to rent an etext. Well it was an access code for Pearson which required an additional $60.00 to access, the access code. Shame on VitalSource and Pearson. Just advertise the true cost instead of the bait and switch! To be fair, I have to include, the customer service team issued a refund after I complained.
