In case your deal on Aliexpress has almost expired, but you still haven’t received your package and aren’t even sure where it is – don’t worry. If you follow the rules of the website and do everything in the time allowed, you will have no problem getting your money back.
How to Open a Dispute with a Seller
In case your deal is reaching its expiration date, you will be notified by the website by email. Upon receiving the email, go to Aliexpress and find the lost item in the orders section. Then press the “Open a dispute” button. You will then get re-directed to another page where you repeat the action by clicking the item in question.
The website will then ask you to answer a few questions, such as:
- Have you received the item?
- What problem do you have?
- How would you like to solve the dispute?
Since we still haven’t received the package, we choose “no” as an answer to the first question, and answer the others accordingly. You may choose to notify the website that you don’t have tracking information. Don’t hesitate to let Aliexpress know what sort of problem you’re having.
As soon as you describe the problem and send your feedback, the only thing left to do is wait. Naturally, the problem will not be solved overnight, you will have to wait a few days. Those few days is the time when the seller and you may try to settle things peacefully. In case the time is up, but they still haven’t replied, you speed things up by pressing the according button. From now on it is up to Aliexpress to determine who is right. Be sure in case you are the wronged party the dispute will be solved in your favor.
How Can I Win the Dispute?
To make sure the website decides in your favor, be ready to prove your point. For example, you may notify the site that it’s impossible to track the package with the tracking number and the seller can’t prove you have received your package. In case the package has been delivered, but is damaged, take a photo or video of it – Aliexpress website allows you to attach various media to your messages.
And since we have touched upon the subject of damaged packaging, we recommend you to never close the deal until you made sure of the product’s quality. Even in case you have hastily closed the deal and then found a defect, you will still have 15 days to open a dispute with the seller. Don’t hesitate to do it if you don’t want to lose your money!
Closing the Dispute
In case the seller and you have solved the problem amicably and he has paid the forfeit, you may close the dispute. It’s as easy to close it as it is to open: just press the according button. Don’t press it until the seller has carried out his part of the deal. Remember that you can only open a dispute once.
