Backcountry Tracking Order Status

Great customer service. I had a question on a purchase. They got it straightened out right away. I have made several purchases and they were all handled efficiently and professionally.

I.bought 2 yeti bikes. Somehow one of the orders were sent to sent to an old employer’s address. The address has been deleted from their system. A 6k bike was left in a 2nd floor lobby outside a vacant office without a signature. 4 orders within 3 1/2 weeks. 3 get delivered correctly. The other went to a bogus address. They did not even or send email to verify a shipping address. They used UPS but did not insure the shipping through UPS. The bike was great. Th.e attitude from customer support stunk.

Backcountry.com used to be my go-to outdoor retailer. I proudly rep-ed the goat on my car, and would search at backcountry before using Google if I needed gear. They've since outsourced a lot of their customer service, and recently cancelled my order without warning because someone they were affiliated apparently published a coupon code they shouldn't have. I received no warning of this until 1 day after my order was placed (mind you I had placed an order for 2-day shipping). While they legally can do this based on their terms, I had to spend 15 minutes on the phone to figure out why my order was mysteriously cancelled. 4 days after my order was placed (3 days after the cancellation) I received an email explaining the situation. While I was on the phone they gave me a $15 credit for my inconvenience, but the entire experience was a headache, and now I am going to go and order my gear through REI because let's be honest, they never let anyone down, plus I have a coupon that will give me a better price than the "correct" price at Backcountry, even with their credit.

I had a very positive shopping experience using Ozbackcountry.com.au to recently purchase my Orca Thermal wetsuit. John Mac was extremely helpful in letting me know full shipping details as soon as the wetsuit left their warehouse. As for the Orca Thermal, it is the finest wetsuit I have so far ever used.

I have always had a great experience with them. Shipping might take longer but at least these items are at a discounted rate when its on sale!
