Belk Tracking Order Status

I just left my local Belk store (Centerville, Georgia) and was once again disappointed in the store personnel. I had to return some mens clothing that I had used a $20 Belk Rewards Money towards the purchase. The men's shorts that I wanted to keep did not receive the $20 Rewards Money, The Rewards Money was applied towards another pair of shorts that I did not want to keep. I was assisted by a tall older black lady in the men's dept. by the name of "Linda". I explained what had happened with my purchase online and would like to exchange part of the purchase. I stated that she might have to call a manager to assist with the transaction. I was not sure if she would understand what I was trying to do. She listened to my explanation of what I would like to do and looked puzzled to me. I once again explained that I wanted to return the mens shorts that had received the Belk Rewards Money on and apply it towards the mens shorts that I wanted to keep. I again suggested that she might want to have a manager come and assist with the transaction. She abruptly copped an attitude and said rudely, "did I not think she could handle the problem"? She said I had suggested several times that she may want to call a manager. Her attitude and condescending voice was rude and unprofessional. I immediately explained that I was not sure if she would have the authority to do what I was asking. I could tell by her body language and demeanor that she loathed my asking for a Managers assistance. Mind you, this scene was played out in front of other customers in line. Another reason I thought Linda could use the help by my asking for a Manager to assist with my problem. She picked the phone up and called the manager on duty. "Jay". He came within a few minutes and I explained to him the situation. He allowed me to return the items I did not want but said he could not exchange the shorts I wanted to keep for the pair I was returning that I had received the $20 Belk Rewards for. He said I would have to wait a week or more for the Rewards Money to be put back on my card??? Not sure I understood that line of reasoning when the pair of shorts I returned (that had received the discount) were the same shorts that I kept. They were just a different color. Same size, make, model, just a different color. I just wanted to have the Belk Rewards Money put towards the pair of shorts I kept. ?? 🤔🤨 So I will once again have to make the trip to this store and return the shorts I'm keeping and start all over again.. Let's hope I will get someone with a nicer attitude next time. Maybe I should ask for the GM and start at the very top in hopes of resolving the problem 🤔 It's unfortunate but I have noticed the times I have shopped in this store that some of the personnel seem to have an attitude problem and not very friendly. Some are assistant managers also. If customers don't bring these issues to the attention of the GM/Store Mgr. then the snotty attitude will remain intact. Maybe a refresher course would be in order to teach the personnel how not to treat paying customers

Ordered on the 17th. Shipped out on the 19th. Belk email confirmation within hours of purchase.Going through the normal shipping process. Fed Ex updates daily in different locations . Currently in Ks and expected arrival on the 23rd. So far so good… so we shall see. Product is something that I have been looking at on multiple sites but it was on clearance sale at Belk for a fraction of the cost.No problem so far.

The associate Elizabeth was friendly, kind and quite helpful. Her knowledge of the makeup was extensive and precise I love the outcome of my makeup thanks so much My purchase was a Mac foundation and because the associate was helpful I purchased the product with confidence.

Sorry to all the people who had bad experiences here. Mine was great so I thought I would say so. Easy checkout, fast shipping, and the item (below) surpassed my expectations. 100% wool sport coat? Recently shopped at Wilmington NC store on Oleander Drive. Elaine assisted me in the purse department. Elaine was the friendliest, most helpful cashier that has ever assisted me in any of the big department stores. She was cheerful, kind and really is an excellent representative for the Belks store. In fact all the employees I have encountered at this store are excellent. But Elaine just went over and above. Good job Elaine and Belks!!
