TRAEGER Tracking Order Status

We have had a couple of Traeger grills. Sold the first one and upgraded to the “wifire” unit that was a Costco exclusive. It has the warming unit underneath the grill. Anyway, after about a year and a half it stopped connecting to the WiFi. I called and spoke a person who assured me it wasn’t the controller but just needed to be updated. After an hour and a half of unplugging and plugging in the grill and my WiFi router, still not working! Day 2: again agent has me unplugging and plugging in my WiFi and grill, no connection. Day 3: same thing, no connection! Took Easter Sunday off. Monday: agent calls and again the unplugging and plugging in continues, no connection!! And now locks up my router!! At the very beginning of this process I told them I thought it was the controller!! Tuesday agent calls and we go through a bunch of processes, GUESS WHAT, the controller is bad!!! Needs to be replaced!! After spending a total of 10 hours on the phone dealing with different agents and getting my router fixed, Traeger FINALLY admits it’s the controller!!! The very thing I said from the beginning!! Won’t EVER buy another Traeger!!!

Had trouble with my grille temperature fluctuating and called customer service. They were very helpful in walking me through the troubleshooting and sent me the new parts. There was no charge for the parts or shipping. The grille works good with replacement parts.

Just got off the phone with customer service. Tammy stayed on the phone and walked me through trouble shooting the grill for 1hr 8min to find the problem. She was awesome and is sending a new auger motor out under warranty. Honestly some of the best customer service I've ever experienced.

I had a Ryder issue with just one year of use. I don’t use my particular unit very often as I’m a single man. The customer support knew my issue was able to get me a part. Unfortunately the part came and they said it was the replacement like for like part. It wasn’t. The red I had, had a plug in the middle. I had to completely dismantle the unit to replace it. I had to get online to figure out how to fix it as no instructions were sent with the new part. I am a multi-ticketed tradesman. This was a complete pain without directions. As well even the YouTube videos didn’t work as they have cheapened out by shortening all the wires so the controller you have to remove won’t move far enough out to replace this unit. Upon opening I found three or four other things that are going to become issues with use of this unit.

We are new to the Traeger, but it has made a good smelling kitchen. New ideas are flowing throw the house.... Ok grocery bill my be a bit higher lol all for the right reasons.. But the biggest reason for my review is the PACKAGING I wish I could share a pic, of the inside the box play house for young kids..... with door and window cut outs.... WOW to the last touch. Thank you for thinking outside the box and putting it on the inside the box.... GREAT IDEA!!!! MOM approved!!! Kids played for weeks with just a box and camp outs in the box... It was great for everyone. Thanks again.. Sells rep at Costco was wonderful Our whole experience has been wonderful. Cheers Maria and Bryan :)
