I requested special assistance as I am recovering from knee replacement. I cannot thank Gatwick enough for the kindness, professionalism and respect I received. Young man at bag check extremely helpful. Directed by lovely lady to Special Assistance security. Very patient security team and also respect given to the fact of my metal implant, which of course activated the alarm . Taken to gate by buggy and boarded early. This excellent service was in contrast to my humiliating treatment in November at Budapest airport where I was left dishevelled and in tears by intrusive and abusive treatment at security. Thank you Gatwick for you great care yesterday. I was in tears but they were a reaction to the kindness you showed. You were not to know how much I was dreading the whole airport experience after Budapest Airport in November 2023 but you made me....okay.

I went to collect my mother from Gatwick South today. She arrived with Wizzair W62221 at 12:40. We had asked for special assistance and were delighted to receive the most professional experience with the loveliest person. He was so kind to my mother - couldn’t do enough! Travelled from Gatwick to Dublin and return. My mum needed assistance at both ends as not so nimble as she used to be, I can only say the service at both airports was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Well impressed.
