I'm a semi-retired IT professional and have been shopping at Micro Center for more than twenty years. I've yet to have a bad experience there. I presently live more than two hours from the nearest Micro Center (the one in Yonkers, New York), but still consider the trip worthwhile. My most recent trip was yesterday, March 3, 2023 to buy a GPU that they only had two of left in stock. I placed the order early in the morning, and it was ready by 10:00 a.m. when the doors opened. What I like most about their stores is that most of their employees are smarter than I am (or at least more current, since I'm semi-retired now). There's no point seeking advice from people who know less than I do. I want people who are smarter than me. Micro Center also has excellent inventory. You can walk in with nothing and walk out with everything you need to build a computer. What I usually do is order anything that's on sale or low in stock online for store pickup. Then I shop around in the store when I get there an add whatever other stuff I buy to the pickup order. That assures that the item that was the main reason to make the trip is still available when I get there.

I have shopped at Micro Center for many years. Their return policy is incredibly generous; their in-house Inland products are generally a good value; and they can sell you a computer ("PowerSpec") brand that is worth the price of entry and, get this, actually serviceable by anyone with half a brain. Unfortunately most of the reviews here, lack said half a brain. People are human; stores aren't perfect. But if you want to pretend that one of the best-regarded computer stores in the US should be more like a 5-star restaurant, and bow down to your idiocy, then you are gonna be disappointed.

this is my absolute favorite store, i mainly go to the BYO pc section in the back and the staff have always been very patient and kind when helping me buy parts to build a gaming pc. i went to the paterson store with no idea what i was doing about a year and a half ago, and at this point i know more about building pc’s than most people. that's strictly due to the help of the specialists at the three micro center locations i’ve been to (queens, brooklyn, nj), who are still light years ahead of me. the BYO staff at each of the stores i’ve visited have been equally professional, easy to talk to, and willing to spend as much time as needed to answer my questions— even going so far as to look up videos on youtube to help me better understand what they were talking about. i usually buy the protection plans as well, and i have never had an issue going in for help with a product or trying to return something within the 15- or 30-day window. i’ve had pickup orders placed online partially or fully refunded because of low inventory, and i know that the gpu situation is an absolute nightmare wherever you go, but i wouldn’t shop anywhere else. i’ve tried b&h and adorama in manhattan and i’ve ordered parts from newegg, but mc is in a league of its own when it comes to after-purchase customer service. i’ll shop here any chance i can get, if for no other reason than the incredible resource that is the BYO staff.

Micro center is one of the best places to buy anything computer related, the customer service is amazing and the people who work there are going to give you the actual truth and not just marketing. A lot of people here are complaining about the repair but all of that really isn't micro center's fault-- they need to order parts from the people who made the pc which is often time consuming and the companies are terrible. Micro center is genuinely amazing, go there if you need something tech related and you will find it.

I purchased a 2060 RTX EVGA card from Micro Center, and I love it! Card runs great, and I even got it on sale because it was an open box item. So it was cheap and a great buy! Loved it and the service at Micro Center! Will always buy EVGA items! Highest quality and best customer service I have found.
