Last Shutterfly Reviews from

I ordered a simply gallery photo book, looks very nice. And I uploaded all the photos from my phone, it’s very clear.

Not sure why they are not rated higher. I have had mutliple great experiences with their color changing coffee mugs. The pictures I sent in came out crystal clear. These items will be treasured by the recipients for many years to come.

I have been a Shutterfly customer for years and done multiple books and have been very satisfied with their quality. When Costco photos went with them and I was reading the reviews, I was disappointed because everyone said their service took a nosedive. Not so. I just ordered two small books for my grand-daughters. They turned out great quality, they were shipped promptly and I was thrilled with them. Can't speak for others, but my experience with this company has always been great.

Coming here to review Shutterfly after trying out Mixbooks photobooks for the first time. First, Shutterfly is not the best high-quality printer ever; however, they do deliver a nice quality photo in the context of their photobooks. I've been a loyal Shutterfly customer for about five years now, and I order 2-3 photobooks a year on average, always when they have their "unlimited pages" deal. I've bought regular glossy, matte, normal paper, and layflat paper, and they are handsdown the easiest photobook service to work with that have good binding and nice print quality. I spent about $140 trying out a 12"x12" photobook with thick, layflat pages from Mixbooks, a company that toots all these great reviews, but the print quality was subpar. It was grainy. The smaller the photo, the worse it looked, due to the grain. And, I used high-quality, professional photos! :( I'm honestly flabbergasted that Shutterfly somehow ranks lower than Mixbooks, because the quality is just so much better! There's minimal grain, and the colors are printed with a beautiful clarity! On top of that, it's cheaper! Anyways, I want to note that I used the same quality photos from the same photographer, just different shoots with both Shutterfly and Mixbooks, and the comparison is literally night and day. My primary dealings with Shutterfly are photobooks, but I've also ordered mugs, blankets, calendars, a puzzle and a deck of cards from them. All of these were decent to very good quality and completely what I expected. Most recently, I ordered my wedding book through Shutterfly, and the first one came with a few scratches on the cover, so I reached out to their customer service, and they went ahead and sent a new, pristine copy at no cost to me, which I very much appreciated. :) There was no run-around, and their customer service reps are always knowledgeable and answer my questions regarding print quality, which is a big deal to me, as I used to work in a print shop, so I know what to generally expect based on pricing. If you're wanting something more budget-friendly and less quality, you can always use the Photobooks app by FreePrints and get a decent lil 20 page 8"x8" hardback for about $15. But overall, I order from Shutterfly the most often, and I am glad that they actually print photobooks without the amount of grain that other services provide. Anyways, I thought I would share my thoughts here for this company, too, since I had such a disappointing experience with Mixbooks.

I got a custom mouse pad. It came on time. The website was good enough. Its good quality. that was a great 17 bucks

My family loves it. My dad has a mug with our pictures on it and his phone case too! Then my moms made a poster that her brother's girlfriend did digitally, and she had it printed out by these guys!

I had to switch over to Shutterfly after Costco shut down its photo services. For Costco members, the Shutterfly regular prices are 51% off which makes it close to what Costco was charging. So, the prices are good. Quality is mediocre at best. The prints have the Shutterfly logo all over the back so you don't know if it is Fuji or Kodak paper or some generic brand. The weight of the paper feels lighter. The colors seem more muted. I placed a large order of over $500 and all the 8x10s, 5x7s, and wallets had red streaks across the top quarter of the photos along with some black lines. It was obvious there was a defect with the printer and the lack of quality control didn't catch it. I spent over an hour on the chat to get it resolved. The customer service was good but the process took a long time. In the end, they are sending me replacement prints at no cost and expedited delivery. I was satisfied with the customer support. Will I use them again? Probably not. Besides the issue with quality control, the colors and photo paper did not meet my expectations.

I've been waiting for my pictures for almost 5 days when will they be here?

I have used Shutterfly numerous times to make books using our photos from our many travels. The last book that I made I ordered three copies. At the very end of ordering, there was an option to get "CLEAR" pictures for an additional fee. Seriously?? This should be included! I opted not to pay the additional fee because I was ordering three copies of the book (no discount for three of the same book). In hindsight I wish I had gotten one with the enhanced quality to compare.
