Despicable

Love my Alienware desktop but dealing with Dell has become an incredibly despicable experience. I can't even pay for my bill because they messed something up on their end. This makes me look like I'm past due and I can never get a hold of them to fix the problem or figure out how to pay my bill manually as the offices are always closed if I want to speak to a human. One of the worse out there. I hope Apple gets into the gaming market in a solid way as it's just not worth dealing with Dell to get a good, prebuilt gaming PC.

Very nice laptop I got and it is the best brand overall since this is my third laptop .when something wasn’t working I was able to fix it with the tech support on the phone so I’m very happy with their service.

Good pricing, wish shipping was faster

The pricing of a lot of the items are really well. However i dont like it that you then find out the item isnt shipping for 5-6 weeks. They shouldnt really be showing these items. Show whats shipping now and not later. Overall though, pricing is good and when they do have it it ships fast.

Very good Dell Service. Not without some hiccups though.

I have a Dell Vostro 7590. I have had many problems with it, some hardware problems (touchpad problem) and accidental damage (mea culpa). I had bought ProSupport service when I had bought the laptop. Rightly so. To my experience, Dell Vostro is not the most robust laptop but Dell ProSupport is doing great to make it up. Next business day on-site support means, your problems are resolved without much fuss. It was not all smooth sailing though. In some cases it took ages to provide the parts (the right keyboard etc) but I was told it was due to pandemic supply-chain problems. That is quite plausible. There seems to be a high walls between Dell regions. When I first had the hardware problem with the touchpad, I happened to be abroad (Turkey) which happened to fall into another geographical region of Dell. I was told by Dell that the spare part was not available in that region and it was not possible to transfer it from another region. Why not by the way? Another problem was directly with the Dell Netherlands. When Dell could not provide the spare part, they offered a replacement. I had to travel back to the Netherlands for system replacement. Why? I was in Turkey and they also have Dell there. Why could they not deliver via them? I guess simply because of "Computer says No" work culture (from TV series 'Little Britain'). Anyways I have traveled to the Netherlands for system replacement. I had chosen the specific configuration of my laptop (a separate GPU with own memory etc) for my Data Sciences needs. I have mentioned to this to the Dell representative. But the system replacement department of Dell does not seem to listen. In complete disregard, they have offered a system completely incompatible with the specs and a system which is far inferior than my existing laptop with missing spare parts. When I rejected that, they offered another system, one which is even worse - actually the worst spec one in Vostro line. Why? What point were they trying to make? Anyways at the end the problems solved. I think in the last 2-3 years, all parts in my laptop have been replaced. I mean all. Aside from special circumstances of the pandemic and those strange practices I mentioned above, Dell has taken care of my laptop. I am very happy with Dell ProSupport next business day on-site service. Both in The Netherlands and Both in Dell Turkey. I am also very happy with the 'Dell Cares' social media support which is available on-line anytime and they are very helpful. One thing though, Dell Cares is pretty good in resolving software issues but, it is always better to call ProSupport during the office hours. When I had the touchpad problem, it took me I think a few months and several OS re-installs to realize that it was a hardware problem. All-in-all I am very happy with Dell. THANK YOU DELL!

Exceptional Service!

My monitor recently broke and one of the HDMI stopped functioning and would not allow me to change the resolution. I spoke to dell customer service and got through to Yvette who asked me to run the usual checks you run to establish a fault and it was concluded to be faulty they then took care of the ordering what was classed as a part which was monitor to replace the broken one and one with a bigger screen as my monitor was not longer available from parts. From the get go the customer service was fantastic I was looked after every step of the way the colleagues and Yvette in particular was extraordinarily helpful and patient with the query and the previous colleague was super helpful to unfortunately I cannot find there name on my emails and the replacement was in perfect working order. Any future monitors I buy will be dell without a moment's hesitation after this level of service and I could not be more happy with the professionalism of this company and the staff are a credit to the business.

2 year Dell G5 Gaming Desktop Review

I ordered a Dell G5 Gaming Desktop in 2021 through their installment plan. The sales agent gave me ad ons such as premium support along with other ad-ons like free shipping. There was a power surge and my power supply was fried, they replaced it brand new, had a tech come to my house and everything. The Computer is running smooth to this day and it's been 2 years. It doesn't make noise and you can customize the lighting. I wll say that the alienware software used to control the lighting does suck as it always messes up depending on the settings your running for it. All in all, a good experience and would buy another gaming desktop/parts with them. It's only 4 stars because two of the salesman were a-holes in the beginig and the third one was average.

Dell XPS Poor Quality Control in Build

Many times i have experienced and also long term use of Dell XPS line is sub-par quality in their build such as rubber pads and finishing (barely last 2 years at best), the sound METAL GRILL easy chips and you will find more issues on software lack of optimization or so. Overall, it is good in design, but with the amount of teething issues, money you spend for such premium & you can find in dell xps forum and as a user myself, i can tell you it's pretty disappointing. The main issues is the rubber coating on top of the carbon design looking surface of the laptop, it will not last and it will start to degrade in 2 years time.

Outside cover chipped already and running out of space :(

The computer works good. I’m just running out of space. I got the Dell Inspiron. The problem is I got it in 2020 and the outside silver cover of the monitor has already peeled off in several places. I purchased a custom made Dell outside cover on a different Dell in 2005 that was purple and plastic so I thought I’d be fine with the factory original outside cover. I don’t like it now. It looks old. Should not be peeling already! How can you help me? I have a picture to submit as well. Also please, how can I get more space to save docs and such? Dell please advise.
