I want to give kudos to the lovely young woman who checked my groceries at the Harris Teeter at Old Regent Way in Leland, NC. Pearl T was very friendly and professional. She was an absolute delight! The store is always well stocked and very clean. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. John Robins is doing a great job.

Ms. Tonja Griffith at Harris Teeter Store 495 embodies outstanding customer service. Her genuine warmth and willingness to assist create an inviting atmosphere that elevates the shopping experience. Ms. Griffith's extensive knowledge of the store's layout and product offerings and her attentive demeanor make every visit a delight. Her dedication to ensuring customers find their needs with a smile sets her apart. I am embarrassed to say that I missed providing a good rating to Angelo (store #464), back on 6/22/23! He's the only cashier who's waited on me and automatically gave me the 5% senior discount (I didn't know about the discount, so I've never thought to request one)! I guess if the customer doesn't bring it up, cashier just "breezes through" all the grocery items! Thanks, Angelo!!

I have five large-chain supermarkets within 5 miles of me, including Harris Teeter (Olney, MD). I find HT the most enjoyable one to patronize. Environment is clean and bright. Employees used to be friendlier and nicer but that has diminished--perhaps from the pandemic? A smile...hello...and thank you (with a purchase) make a big difference. Prices are a bit higher than the competition on many items, while some HT house-brand items are lower. Sometimes, artisan or small brands are mixed in with the usual brands. The sub counter is a good deal and uses Boars Head meats. Please bring back the red pepper basil sauce! What I like best is HT's buy-one-get-one free offers each week, always a few items in each department. Get a VIC savings card. Not everyone knows that you can buy just one of these B1G1 items and pay 50%. As a household of one, I’m grateful. Restock often on your sale items. Don't make the store a racetrack where curbside is primary. See if the produce can be improved. It's there and edible, but quite often looking like it's been around awhile.
