Very bad customer service people who don't understand anything
they lied about giving me a free phone..i called them to tell them i got a message on how to use the new phone that i haven't gotten..they said there not sending me a free phone that i have to buy it...that was the reason i went with that company in the first place for the free phone..if they dont give free phones than why did they send me a txt on how to use the new phone
Similar problems as the other reviewers: Data service was suddenly disconnected in an attempt to lure me into spending more money. Paid for the unlimited plan and data was shut off before the end of the 30 day period. Texted 611611 and got this message: "You have reached your plan's high speed data limit. Would you like to buy more data?" I considered this fraud and had my credit card company issue a chargeback to Net10.
We started using this company in 2008. It has been very nice paying as you go b/c I dont really use a phone, I keep it for emergency only. All of a sudden, my phone was deactivated. No reason, no courtesy emails, nothing to justify this. When I contacted them the first thing I did was ask about the remainder of my 6 months that had been pre-paid. Nobody would tell me why. I had several days left. I was not allowed to add any more time through the website, but the representative advised me I could pay him using a credit card. That sounded really fishy. I also had earned a 30 day bonus due to all the time I had purchased. They would not allow me to use it. II was able to activate the bonus time later that evening, but the phone was deactivated so I cannot use it. This company is criminal. They have not released my 20 dollars and I dont think I am going to be able to collect my bonus time earned.
Horrible Service!!! They shut my service out of the blue due to "network upgrades" and they won't even give me my phone number!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased a phone and plan from them. Was promised 2-day shipping. I did not receive it after a week and a couple days and Fedex did not update the tracking number. I called net10 back and the agent told me he would update the ticket and I should receive the phone in the next 72 hours business days. I did not receive it after more than a week and called them back. Spoke to someone who had to escalate to someone else, told me to call Fedex and find out if the item was lost, and if so that Net10 would provide me with a refund. Probably a 25 minute phone call with lots of holds and the agent coming back after every 2 minutes to say, "Please stay on the line." Called Fedex, they told me net10 should file a claim for the item. Called back net10 and they told me that the previous 2 ppl I spoke to at net10 did not enter any information into the ticket. They had to start over. Checking on various things. Coming back on the line every 1-2 minutes to tell me to stay on the line. After ONE HOUR of speaking to various ppl and being escalated to various ppl, am told that they can do nothing to help me and I should be contacted in another 1-2 days. They could not process the refund that the previous person was told me they would process. The 3rd person I spoke to on that day also said that she was transferring me to someone to process the refund, but then the next 2 ppl said they couldn't do it. I will never go with this company under any circumstance. Worst customer service. It took me HOURS of various phone calls with ppl to find out nothing. Will see how long it takes and if I get a refund for the hundreds of dollars I spent on a new phone. Good thing I did not go with the monthly payment plan through their third-party provider smartpay which has terrible reviews.
