Directv Tracking Order Status

I had AT&T U-Verse for over 10 years until last month. It was OK for when I first got it, but I didn't realize what I was missing the last few years. I have a 4K TV and several 1080p TVs. U-Verse only provided 720p. Menu functionality/features was limited and primitive by today's standards. With DirecTV Streaming, I feel like I've caught up with the times. I now have hi-def TV service that's worthy of my TVs and a box/remote with a great guide and streaming app inclusion. The DirecTV app for my Rokus and Firesticks on my other TVs and phone is ridiculously better/faster than the U-Verse app I've put up with for years. I tried other streaming TV service trials (they're not bad services), but they don't provide the "real cable/satellite" experience that DirecTV does. I thought about Spectrum, but since my phone and internet service is through AT&T, I stuck with them. I'm a tech guy and I'm very happy with my decision.

I made a call to customer support to fix a code (204) on my screen. Her name was Jennifer from Montana and she was absolutely amazing. Not only did she fix the code but she also saved us a lot of money on our $326 dollar a month bill. I previously to the phone call was having a bit of a bad day but with her over the top enthusiasm, she absolutely made my day 100% brighter. She was amazing. I could make the review go on forever but I’m not going to. I will just end with saying direct tv better keep her by what ever mean necessary. Thank you Jennifer from Montana so very much you have no ideal what that meant to me.

I was calling in to cancel My directv today, as we all know calling in to customer service is a random call and you never know who you will get...well today the reason I knew I had the riggr person was simply THE WAY HE ANSWERED THE PHONE, he calmed me down was able to HANDLE MY SITIATION WHICH MONTHS AGO ANOTHER PERSON ADAMANTLY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO IT..WELL IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF TECHNOLOGY WE KNOW THAT RESPONSE JUST MEANS THEY LAZY. .IF YOU WANT TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLY ASK FOR JOSH FROM.HUNTINGTON WV..HE ANSWERED THE PHONE RIGGT HIS ATTITUDE WAS RIGHT AS I FUSSED HE WAS ABLE TO ANSWER A QUESTION ON AN EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM.DIRECTV WHICH MEANS HE READ THEIR MEMO OR TOOK NOTES IN HIS MEETINGS. Thanks Josh so much, u rock, he listened and acted.

To be clear, my rating only has to do with the Direct TV equipment and not it’s customer service. I have been a customer for more than 8 years. I have the satellite cable service. When I first got the service, Direct TV provided customers with an analog box that was connected to my television. For the first five years of having the service, I almost never had an issue with my service unless there was a severe storm. Last year there was a bad storm in my area that damaged my satellite dish’s main component and as a result, I had to get a new dish component. Direct TV also informed me that they would be upgrading my genie boxes along with a new digital tower box. My analog box was removed in place of a new small genie box. The one tower box controls the TV programming service and all the small genie boxes that are connected to each TV. This new digital tower box has given me so much trouble and issues that I have had to call a Direct TV technician to service my tower box numerous times in less than a year of getting the upgrade which is probably 3X as many times than in my first 5 years of having the service. This new digital tower box (made in China I was told), is inferior to the analog box that I had previously for the first 5 years I rarely had any issues. For this reason I am giving a 2 star rating.

I must point out a couple of things. My review regards DirecTV STREAM, in particular, as I have no experience with DirecTV, itself. Also, the rest of this review will concern only the streaming of TV, and not regarding Customer Service. DirecTV's Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired, which is the only thing that keeps me from giving DirecTV Stream 4 stars. Vastly impoving customer service AND adding NFL Network would get 5! I know. I'm in the minority. I recently switched from YouTube TV to DirecTV Stream and am very happy with it. Not only do I get my local channels included, but I get all my regional sports networks, as well, something totally lacking on YouTube TV. Otherwise, I THOUGHT I was totally happy with YouTube TV, now that I have DirecTV Stream, I realize the issues with YouTube TV. I was getting a lot of those "commercial break" interludes, accompanied by nature scenes and WAY TOO LOUD audio, Now that I have the DirecTV Streaming device, to which one can download ANY app from Google Play, I realize that this was an issue with YouTube TV, as streamed through a Vizio TV. I downloaded the YouTube TV app to the DirecTV Streaming device and tested the YouTube TV streaming app as seen through the DirecTV Streaming device, before my subscription had expired, and found that the "Zen Moments" were gone! The hardware, itself, thus, is excellent, that being both the streaming device AND the remote, which is very efficiently designed and just has a nice weight, and balance to it. It just feels good in the hand. Now, admittedly, DirecTV Stream is relatively expensive, as streaming services go, but the difference in price is worth it to me to get absolutely everything I want, with the lone exception of the absence of the NFL Network, which customer service assures me they're working on. I even get to watch "Ancient Aliens," on the History Channel, something I haven't had available to me, since I left cable. One night, I was watching "Ancient Aliens" . . . and a childhood friend from, literally, fifty years ago, appeared as an authority on extraterrestrial biology! Not only did I recognize his name, but his face, as well!
